Project 039: Magnificent Metal Stands!

Our pre-scored printable (or not!) self adhesive metal stands are the perfect finishing option to display your products! Made by us, here in sunny Yorkshire, we have stands suitable for A3, A4, A5, and A6 sized items in both a White and Brushed Silver finish, starting at just 25p for an A6 or A5, 35p for an A4 and 55p for an A3, (when bought on any item listing them as an option) – all including the self adhesive tab, they are super value too!

We have also developed our own brilliant pre-scored metal clock stand available for our Small and CD sized clocks (starting at only 65p) – we will add these as an option to some of our larger clocks as well asap. Finally, we have also replaced our Small clock ‘bought in’ plastic clip-in-stand with a printable metal version too (from 15p) – cheaper again!

About the Stands…

Our Stands are suitable for A6 to A3 sized items and are available in White and Brushed Silver finishes. The Stands for A3 items are 0.7mm thickness to give them the extra strength needed for the larger items, while the Stands for A6, A5, and A4 items are our standard 0.5mm thickness.

Included with the Stands are self adhesive sticky tabs to allow you to attach the stand to your item, plus a handy instruction sheet to guide you (and there is a useful video tutorial on our website too!).

Ideas for Use…

The stands are great if you want to print it up with the logo and name of your shop – you can even include promotional information, QR codes, and links to your social media pages too!

Another great way to use our stands is for limited edition items (especially if they’re collectibles or items for display!). It adds an extra touch and can finish off a product nicely.

Combine the Stands with optional MDF Backing for an extra luxury item! They also work great with our thicker metals…

Which way around should I use the Stands?

Our stands are designed so that you are able to bend them either way. Whether you want the printable or non-printable side showing is completely up to you!

Having the printable side showing allows you to further personalise your item with the previously discussed ideas for limited edition indicators and shop logos and information.

Having the non-printable side showing means that the stand can better match up with the back of the item (as it will have the same/a similar back), allowing for a seamless and professional finish for your product!

Where to find the Stands on our Website…

Currently you will find our metal stands on the FIFA Shields and on an array of Alu Sheets ranging from A3 sizes down to A6 sizes. On the products they are listed under a collapsible tab called: ‘Pre-Scored Metal Stand Options’.

Our stands are sold separately too, in the event that you have a different item you would like to use the stands with, but it is good to note that they are cheaper when buying alongside an item. We are continuing to identify products that we think the stand would work great with and are adding it as an option as we go (please let us know if you see an item you would like them added to!).

How to use your Metal Stands…

Firstly, decide which way you want the metal to show on the stand – either with the printable side showing or the non-printable silver back showing.

Peel one side of the sticky tab off the sheet and place it above the scored line. Make sure that you’re sticking the tab onto the side of the stand you do not want to be visible.

  

Peel the upper layer of the sticky tab off and line the bottom of the stand up with the bottom of your shape, ensuring that it is central.

Once you are happy with the placement of the stand, lay it down fully onto your item and press down for a few seconds to allow the sticky tab to adhere.

  

Keep pressing down onto the part of the stand now stuck to your item with one hand and with your other, gently lift the other end of the stand to bend it along the score line.

Check the angle of the bend by standing up your item. You can go back and alter the bend if needed to adjust how your item sits.

Please note that if you over-bend the stand too many times you will risk weakening it! Ensure that your customers are also informed of this should they be assembling the stand or adjusting it themselves.
