Project 041: Out In The Garden!

We’re revisiting a previous project of ours from 2023 in which we explored some wonderful ideas for the garden, because we now have a great selection of Outdoor Grade metals available on a range of our products that will make creating items for the garden even easier!

Outdoor Grade Metal!

The Outdoor Grade metal is coated with extra layers of UV resistant polymer, meaning that your print will fade less in direct sunlight than on standard metal! We have Outdoor Grade metals available in: White 0.5mm, Brushed Silver 0.5mm, Brushed Gold 0.5mm, White 1mm, and Double Sided White 1mm.

To see an overview of the products that we currently offer in Outdoor Grade metal, head to the new Garden and Outdoor category on the website. You will also find this grade of metal listed as a choice in the Alu Sheet, Custom Cut Signs, and Door Plaque sections. But if you see another item you want cut in this metal, that doesn’t have it as a choice already, please feel free to ask if we can cut it for you.

While our standard metal does hold up outside, we can’t guarantee how long it will last without fading. We recommend the Outdoor Metal for anyone wanting to create outdoor products.

Garden Decorations!

When it comes to products for the garden there’s often two types: practical and decorative. We have a brilliant selection of ideas for both of these uses…

On the practical side we have gate or house signs. They can be printed up with messages such as: ‘Please Close the Gate’ or ‘Beware of the Dog’, alternatively they can also display a house name or number. Consider also creating signs for use within the garden – you can add an extra special touch with a sign for vegetable and flower patches, herb gardens, greenhouses, sheds, or even seating areas! Our A4, A5, and A6 standard Alu Sheet sizes work really well for signs and offer a good amount of print room, but also consider our Door Plaques, Rail Signs and Panoramic Signs when you don’t need as much print room for your signs.

If you’re wanting to offer more decorative items, consider our array of A4 fancy shapes which would make fantastic pieces of wall art – just like the stained glass style design shown in our photos using our Oblong Gem Shape. We also have a super cute cloud and raindrop hanging decoration which makes a lovely wind catcher or window decoration!

Nothing is stopping you from combining practical and decorative ideas either! While some customers may prefer a more simple gate sign, others might enjoy something a little more elaborate…

Gorgeous Garden Markers!

 

We have just added a selection of brand new Garden Markers to our range! The Fancy Shaped Garden Markers are available in A5 and large sizes – with loads of fun designs for you to choose from to create a fantasy themed area with fairies, gonks, mushrooms and a fairy door, or use the insects to create a stunning printed display of butterflies, dragonflies, bees and snails to brighten up any dull areas of the garden…put the frog and flowers next to the pond – the fun is endless!

You can make your garden markers reusable by leaving space for the customer to write in the plant names or directions/instructions themselves. Use permanent markers and remove with a cloth and some WD-40 when the writing needs changing – ideal for ever changing flower or vegetable patches…

Dry Wipe Boards (using any of our shapes) are a fantastic idea that allows you to track watering times, planting seasons, and any other general things of note! These would make a lovely and practical gift for any avid gardener. Plus, why not use the House Shape as a bird house/shed or the Bird Shape for a great garden bird watcher to keep track of the birds seen in the garden!

Memorial

Our garden markers can also be used to create some beautiful memorial items both for people and for pets.

Whether you want to mark their favourite area in the garden, or use one of the smaller markers and combine it with a plant as a heartfelt gift, the garden markers are a perfect choice.

With the new Large size of Poppy Plantmarkers that have just been added to our range, you can also create some lovely Remembrance Day keepsakes.

Animals

Signs for outdoor animal areas are a cool idea! Whether you have a cat or dog who loves a certain spot in the garden or have created a wild area for bugs and bees to thrive, our outdoor products are great for highlighting these areas.

Stable Plaques are another brilliant way to use our outdoor products for those with Horses. Choose any of our standard sizes, or use the Horse Head or Sunset Themed Signs for something a bit different!
