MARCH/APRIL NEWSLETTER 2023

We have plenty of exciting news to share with you that we have been working really hard on behind the scenes…

Firstly, and as promised, we have been trying to help with the ever increasing costs issue – and so we have added Pay Later with Paypal to help those who need to spread the cost. Secondly, after more number crunching, we are announcing a further price freeze for at least the next 2 months!

And thirdly, we have been listening to your requests and having trialed ‘no minimum order Fridays for a month’ – with moderate success, we are pleased to now offer you a more permanent solution for small or sample orders …. in the form of a new website!

We have just launched a new website called CraftiMetals! It’s the same metal and most of the items you usually buy from us but marketed to use as a crafting base for paints, stencils, pastes, papers, etc, rather than just for sublimating.

Please check it out – we have ported user information in, so you can use your password and account on the new site straight away. It should be very familiar to you, same layout etc just branded differently and photos show crafted items mainly rather than sublimated.

But it is still our sublimation products, so you can order from either site but please be aware there are 2 major differences:

• The minimum order has been removed on Crafti Metals and carriage is lower – still Parcelforce 24 courier, we are subsidising it on this site

• BUT the prices for items other than packs is more expensive across the new site.

So, no huge incentive for most of you to swap where you shop (except if you need small sample orders), but it will be useful to gather new ideas for making items with our metal to create new unique products and possibly reach new markets!

Of course we will be bringing you plenty of these ideas and inspiration through our regular newsletters in your orders and by email – starting with this issue!

Finally, another reminder that our Easter Shutdown is Friday 7th to Friday 14th April – we re-open on Monday 17th April.

March/April Free Gift

The Free Gift for March and April is a mini mixed Offcut Pack! To allow you to sample our new Xtra Xtra Value Offcut Packs, each order throughout March and April will receive a little bundle of offcut pieces, mostly white and silver, but also some of our other gold or copper pieces. These are very useful for testing and sampling – and tie in really well with the launch of our new website – www.craftimetals.co.uk – as they will be ideal for you to experiment with, to see which craft techniques work for you, that you may wish to develop further!

Customer ‘Share To Win’ Photos

In this issue’s Share To Win we have Becky Bradley’s A5 Ricoh Plaque Decoration with some lovely artwork printed onto it! This is a wonderful decoration for any room, and our Standard Metal Sizes are so versatile! The Plaque in the example has 2 landscape hanging holes and natural twine to hang the item up.

We also have Laura Cadman’s brilliant ‘Child’s First Easter’ Hanging Decoration using our Egg Shape! This is a fantastic keepsake idea for any new family to mark milestone dates in their child’s life to be able to look back on in the future.

Seasonal/Marketing Ideas

Easter is on the horizon and this is the perfect time to remind yourself of all of our brilliant Easter themed products!

Our ‘eggcellent’ range of Egg Holders were launched for Easter last year, and make wonderful novelty gifts and prizes for Easter Hunts! Available in a range of shapes, these Egg Holders can hold treats the size of a Creme Egg.

The Easter Hunt Set is a perfect choice for anyone wanting a sturdy and reusable mix of shapes to aid in setting up Easter Egg Hunts. It contains a great mix of our Easter Themed Shapes including: Eggs, Sheep, Chicks, and more!

Sneak Peek!

We’ll be covering our extensive range of Father’s Day products in more detail in the next newsletter, however we would like to give you a quick sneak peek at some of the things you should expect to see!

We have a few brand new shapes in the works including: a new Plane Shape and a couple of Dinosaur Shapes! These will be launching very soon… Our Golf Club and Motorbike shapes have also undergone a review and have been updated with a range of new sizes!

Combining Products!

We’re looking once again at ways you can combine our products, this time with other crafts (as per CraftiMetals!) to come up with all sorts of unique, fun ideas to market to your customers!

Creative Cards!

A member of our Design Team came up with this brilliant idea of combining our smaller Metal shapes as embellishments in Card Making to create a couple of lovely Wedding cards to personalise a request for someone to be a Flower Girl or Page Boy.

Our small Filled Horseshoe Shape has been used for the Wedding Cards, sublimated with cute bear artwork with the recipient’s name printed along the bottom.

A beautiful Memorial or Sympathy card has also been created using our medium Dove Shape printed up with a photo of the lost loved one.

This transforms the card into more of a keepsake to be displayed and then kept, especially when you consider all the other occasions the cards could be made for: Birthdays, Christmas, Easter, and Anniversaries – just to name a few!

Combining our metal with other craft surfaces allows you to create truly special pieces (watch out for more card and craft combi ideas in CraftiMetals).

 

We hope you like, and hopefully embrace, our new venture but rest assured we will still be prioritising our Sublimation products and serving our core market, and although we’ve had a little lull in new products this year, as we concentrated on launching this exciting website – we do have loads of new ideas and products in the pipeline…  along with extra developments that have been requested like Facebook support groups for both sublimation and the new craft site… more on this as soon as they are launched – hopefully very soon!
